Kelly Clarkson was an American musician and singer who became America's Sweetheart after winning American Idol in the first series of the show. This win did more than make her an international star, but resulted in a deal with several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings as well as 'S Records. In the years since, she's released various studio albums. Three of which made the cut in the US Billboard 200' chart and her other albums barely missed the coveted spot. She's among the most popular artists that have come out of American Idol. She tried her hand at fame with various themes as well as music styles, and often wrote her own songs. She earned critical acclaim and a number of prestigious awards due to her distinctiveness and singing ability. The Grammy Award was presented to her Grammy Award 3 times. Apart from her music career she's appeared in film as well as television programs. She also penned the book for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with a number of charities.
