Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson hails from the US and is an actress, producer and writer, singer/director. Her most well-known work is her character Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and appeared in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She was also in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who is an artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish as is her mother Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson has appeared on Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's closing. In the background, she put her writing skills into her Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones.
